Ghana Navy passes 95 recruits

Ninety-five navy recruits passed out of six-month training at the Basic and Leadership Training School, at the Eastern Naval Base in Tema Manhean on Wednesday.

Commander Joseph Anani Ceasar Combey (Rtd), Reviewing Officer for the ceremony, commended the recruits for successfully passing out.

Commander Combey (Rtd) also congratulated the recruits and urged them not to rest on their oars but should rather take other subsequent training and courses very seriously.

He asked the recruits to be diligent and committed to the Ghana Armed Forces to protect the country’s natural resources, especially oil, from criminals.

Commander Combey also asked them to be neutral in the discharge of their duties, especially during Election 2012, to ensure a free and fair election.

The 95 recruits gave an impressive display in drill, as well as quick and slow march past.

Recruit Afedo Elorm Kwame received a trophy and a prize for emerging as the overall round recruit, best in academics, best in physical training and best in weapon training.
