CAF reschedules 2013 AFCON draw
The Confederation of Africa of Football (CAF) has rescheduled the official draw for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations for Wednesday, October 24 in Durban, South Africa.
According to a CAF statement, the event has been moved forward by 48-hours of the initial date, but no reason was given for the latest development.
The draw will see 16 teams including hosts South Africa being drawn into four groups for the final tournament billed for 19 January to 10 February, 2013.
The final tournament will be played in five South African cities namely Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Nelspruit, Rustenburg and Durban.
Zambia won the 2012 edition held in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea after beating Cote d’Ivoire on penalties.
