Somalia becomes 179th World Customs Organisation member
Somalia has officially joined the World Customs Organistaion (WCO) becoming the 179th member of the Paris-based organization.
“The Federal Republic of Somalia deposited with the Belgian Government its instrument of accession to the Convention establishing a Customs Co-operation Council on October 4, 2012,” the WCO said in a statement.
Somalia is an English-speaking country located in the Horn of Africa.
The WCO says it is pleased to welcome Somalia into the international Customs family.
