Francois Hollande ready to welcome Mahama in Paris

The French President, Mr Francois Hollande on Friday congratulated President John Dramani Mahama for winning the Presidential Election on December 7.

A congratulatory message copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, stated: “Mr President, as I learnt that the Electoral Commission announced your victory at the Presidential election, it is a great pleasure for me to address to you my deepest congratulations.

“For the French people, Ghana represents an exemplary democratic country. I am convinced that, led by you, your country will go on reinforcing the rule of law and dialogue between…Ghanaians as well as maintaining a high level of development,” he said.

In order to deepen Ghana and France relations, Mr Hollande said he would be pleased to welcome President Mahama in Paris.

“Please accept, Mr President, the assurance of my highest consideration,” he said.
