Korle Bu moves OPD cases to Surgical Block

The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has moved its general surgical out-patient cases from the Central Out-Patients Department (OPD) to the ground floor of the Surgical Block.

This was contained in a press statement issued and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the move would take effect from Tuesday, February 19, 2013, but said, however, that Thursday afternoon Neurosurgery and Friday Urology clinics would be held at the Central OPD.

The statement said the move was to reduce movement of patients between the two units as well as enable the hospital to begin constructional works for the conversion of the Central OPD into a bigger emergency ward.

“All patients and clients are urged to bear with the hospital in respect of any inconveniences that may arise with this new arrangement,” the statement said.
