Mahama says to serve first term on four key pillars
President John Dramani Mahama has outlined four vital pillars on which he would build Ghana during his first term in office.
Mr Mahama began his first term in office as President January 7, 2013 after he was sworn in by the Chief Justice, Georgina Wood.
In Parliament today February 21, 2013 delivering his first State of the Nation’s address, President Mahama listed putting the people first; building a strong and resilient economy; expanding infrastructure; and running transparent and accountable governance.
“We believe that our people are our most treasured asset,” He told lawmakers in Accra.
He said all these are to move Ghana from a low middle income status to a fully-fledged middle income country.
President Mahama also indicated that focus will be to sustain Ghana’s growth rate of at least 8%.
