Energy Ministry holds management retreat
The Ministry of Energy and Petroleum has ended a two-day management retreat aimed at developing short, medium and long term goals to fit into the Ministry’s new mandate.
A statement copied to the Ghana News Agency said this was to realign the policy of the Ministry and its current mandate, with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) manifesto and the 2013 budget.
It said at the retreat, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Minister of Energy and Petroleum, commended the management for their various contributions during the conference.
“Your inputs helped to harmonize the work plans of the various directorates and units, which would guarantee the achievement of the policy goals of the energy sector,” he said.
Mr Armah-Kofi Buah said the ministry would continue to play its supervisory role over its agencies and ensure that they are in line with government policy on energy and encouraged the management team to continue to bring on board new ideas geared towards achieving the sectors policy goals.
Prof Akabzaa, Chief Director, also called on management to put their shoulders to the wheel to ensure that aims and objectives of the retreat are achieved.
