Ghana among first countries to launch Samsung’s Galaxy SIV
Ghana will be among the first countries to launch in April next month, the latest smart phone “killer”, Samsung Galaxy SIV unveiled this week in New York after months of speculations about its specs.
“…Ghana will be among the first to launch the Galaxy SIV by the end of April,” Jaspreet Singh, Head of Samsung Mobile, Ghana told the Ghana News Agency on Saturday in an email, two days after the South Korean IT giant had unveiled the product specification.
April ending has been set for the official global launch.
The new smart phone, which has more power and cutting edge features, comes with unique things like face/eye tracking and gesture-based controls that other smart phones can only dream of for now.
“It is the first phone with smart scroll and smart stay,” Jaspreet said in a brief a comment. Smart scroll and smart stay feature enable the user to take the reading and video-watching experience to a whole new level by letting them scroll browsers and emails without touching the screen.
Galaxy SIV, succeeding Galaxy SIII, is believed will make life richer, simpler and more fun for mobile device lovers . It is described as a real life companion that will bring people closer and enable them to capture fun moments.
Mobile phone analysts believe Samsung’s latest device would indeed pose pretty great competition to the likes of the HTC One, Sony Xperia Z and the now aging iPhone 5.
The Galaxy SIII, which became the flagship product of Samsung, sold over 40 million units worldwide last year.
At the launch of the new Galaxy, the company demonstrated also phone’s ability to take two different pictures at the same time.
The 5inch full HD phone super Amoled display 441 ppi, comes with a 2.5G (GSM/GPSR/EDGE): 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz; 3G (HSPA+ 42Mbps): 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 MHz; 4G (LTE Cat 3 100/50Mbps) : up to 6 different band sets (dependent on market).
It has a 1.9GHz quad-core processor/ 1.6GHz octa-core processor with an Andorid operating system 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and a 13 mega pixel auto focus camera with flash & zero shutter lag, BIS.
The phone has a 2GB RAM, an internal storage of 16/ 32/ 64 GB User memory + microSD slot (up to 64GB) and 2,600 mAh battery life.

Google Mobile Services on the galaxy SIV include Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, Google Latitude, Google Play Store, Google Plus, YouTube, Google Talk, Google Places, Google Navigation, Google Downloads, and Voice Search.
