President announces new list of 26 deputy ministerial nominees
The President John Dramani Mahama has announced a new list of Deputy Ministerial nominees to be vetted by Parliament.
A press release issued and signed by his Executive Secretary, Dr. Raymond Atuguba, says in accordance with article 79 of the 1992 Constitution, His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, has nominated the following as Deputy Ministers designate:
They are: Riketts Kweku Hagan for the Ministry of Finance, Ebenezer Okletey Teye Larbi, Ministry of Defence, Dr. Tia Sugri, Ministry of Health, Alex Kyeremeh, Ministry of Education, Yaw Effah Baafi, Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, James Agalga, Ministry of the Interior, Vincent Oppong Asamoah, Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing, Samson Ahi, Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing, Dr. Ahmed Alhassan Yakubu, Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Dr. Hannah Luiosa Bissiw, Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Benjamin Dagadu, Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, John Abdulai Jinapor, Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Ministry of Information and Media Relations.
The others are: Joseph Yammin, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuiye, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Victoria Hammah, Ministry of Communications, John Alexander Ackon, Ministry of Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs, Isaac Adjei Mensah, Ministry of Roads and Highways, Mohammed Baba Ahmed Jamal, Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, and Dzifa Gomashie, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.
The rest are; Antwi Boasiako-Sekyere, Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, Dr. Musheibu Mohammed-Alfa, Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Aquinas Quansah, Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Benita Okity-Dua, Ministry of Gender and Social Protection and Rachael Florence Apoh, Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection.
Furthermore, in accordance with Article 256(2) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama has nominated A.B.A. Fusheini, as Deputy Regional Minister Designate for the Northern Region, the release added.
