Ecobank Group makes record $348m profits in 2012
The Ecobank Group has announced record profits of $348 million in the year 2012.
The Lome based pan-African bank in a press release issued Thursday March 28, 2013 and copied to ghanabusinessnews.com announcing its results for the year ended December 31, 2013, says the results represent its strongest financial performance in the 25 years the bank has existed.
According to the bank revenues grew by 46 per cent to $1.8 billion in 2012, from the $1.2 billion in 2011.
“Pre-tax profits rose by 25 per cent to $348 million from $277.4 million in 2011, and net income advanced by39 per cent to $286.7 million above the 2011 figure of $206.8 million,” it says.
