Ayensuano DCE appeals to chief to release land for projects
Mr. Mike Ofori-Darko, District Chief Executive (DCE) of Ayensuano, has appealed to traditional rulers in the area to release more land for development projects.
He said 25 acres of land that was released by Nana Yaw Kwaakwah, Mankrado of Coaltar, would be used for the construction of residential and office accommodation for the assembly.
Mr Ofori-Darko made the call at the general meeting of the assembly at Coaltar, which was attended by assembly members, chiefs and other opinion leaders.
He said the assembly and Nana Kwaakwah had negotiated for the appropriate compensation for the land that was released.
Mr. Samuel Obuba, presiding member for the assembly, said a company from Denmark would provide portable water for the people as part of the small towns water system, and the Feeder Roads Department would re-gravel roads in the district to facilitate economic activities
