Frafraha Orphanage to get water supply
Passion for Needy (PFN), an NGO belonging to the Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN), has renewed its commitment to the Christ Faith Foster Home (Frafraha Orphanage) with the extension of its supply to the Orphanage.
A statement to the Ghana News Agency on Thursday signed by Mrs Janet Torgbor El-Aschker, Chairperson of Passion for Needy, said the new arrangement involved the supply of 2,500 gallons of portable water per month for a year at a cost of ¢1,344.00.
This decision was made after the expiration of an agreement between the management of the orphanage and PFN in December 2011 to supply water to the orphanage for a year.
The NGO, which has provided various supports to the orphanage under the leadership of its founder Senior Prophet T. B. Joshua, included the registration of the orphans and their staff under the National Health Insurance Scheme and the supply of assorted food items.
In the statement, Mrs. Janet Torgbor El-Aschkar said the decision to extend the supply of water was taken after a careful consideration of the importance of water for survival and the current water supply situation in the that locality.
She expressed the hope that the initiative would help alleviate the current situation until the supply of water was normalized.
The Director of the Christ Faith Foster Home, Mr. Adu Boahene expressed his appreciation to PFN for the continuous support to the Orphanage.
Food items including loaves of bread, powdered milk, powdered cocoa drink, soft drinks, biscuits, pieces of cloth worth ¢344.00 were also presented to the orphanage to mark the Easter celebrations.
