BEIGE, Turkish firm in talks for proposed real estate project
The BEIGE group has held further talks with Turkish Construction Company Mamara Engineering & Construction Co, on a cooperation agreement signed earlier this year.
The agreement is for a proposed partnership for a real estate project to be outdoored by the BEIGE Group.
A statement released by the BEIGE Group in Accra on Tuesday said as a follow up to the agreement, the Group had hosted a team from Mamara Engineering led by its Chairman Mr Vehbi Orakci; who was also a former mayor of Istanbul’s Beylikdüzü district.
This visit was a follow up to an initial cooperation agreement entered into by the two companies in Turkey earlier this year.
While in the country, the heads of both institutions paid courtesy calls on the President of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce-Mr. Seth Adjei Baah, the outgoing Turkish Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellence Aydin Nurhan and the paramount Chief of Aburi-Otubour Djan Kwesi II.
The statement noted that Mr. Seth Adjei Baah had expressed excitement at Turkey’s continued interest in Ghana and encouraged Mamara Engineering to seal the initiative, as he believed the BEIGE Group had the capacity to deliver on the project, which he said was definitely going to be a win-win for both companies and Ghana at large.
Mr. Aydin Nurhan, after having reviewed the proposed project, confirmed the potential social and economic benefits that will accrue from it for Ghana when it was eventually achieved.
The BEIGE Group is a Boutique Investment firm with interests in Banking & Finance, Real Estate, Mining, and Tourism & Hospitality.
