GCB relocates Kintampo branch

The Ghana Commercial Bank  (GCB) Limited, has relocated its Kintampo branch at the cost of GH¢316,000.00.

Mr Kojo Addae-Mensah, Chief Operating Officer of the bank, addressing staff, customers and the media at a ceremony to mark the commencement of business in the new building at Kintampo in the Brong-Ahafo Region on Monday, he said the essence of the relocation was to enhance operations in the area.

He said the GCB is currently the number one most profitable bank in the country.

He said the Kintampo branch, opened in 1968 with present customer base of 11,129 was a major contributor to the bank’s success story.

Mr Addae-Mensah said established 60 years ago with 158 branches and 15 agencies nationwide, the GCB always sought the comfort and satisfaction of customers.

The Chief Operating Officer said the banking industry had advanced in operations because of the emergence of Information Communication Technology, adding that these innovations had brought about the introduction of new products and services by the bank.

He cited some of the products, services and facilities as Automotive Teller Machine, Internet Banking as well as the 24-hour loan facility for salary workers.

He urged customers to take advantage of the various services by ensuring patronage to facilitate their socio-economic well-being.

Mrs Doris Wonu, Head of Customer Banking Division, expressed optimism that  the relocation of the bank was going to serve customers in the Kintampo Municipality and its environs better.

She mentioned among other services the GCB were offing as investment products like Fixed Deposits, Certificate of Deposits, Telephone Banking, GCB Express for local remittance (money transfers), Savings Deposits, Current Accounts and International Money Transfers.
