The Reverend Professor Enoch Immanuel A. Agbozo, Head Pastor of Ghana Evangelical Society (GES) said on Saturday that God has chosen Ghana as new model for Africa.

He said the vision of a new Africa was tried on a pilot basis in Ghana by God, declaring that Ghana is free, and this would provide sufficient direction for the rest of Africa to follow.

“It is not about economics or infrastructural development but the choice of God,” he explained.

Rev Agbozo was addressing a public lecture on Saturday in Accra organised by the Church on the theme: “The gates of glory are open,” to make the 40th anniversary of the GES and Africa Day 2013 celebrations.

He said although the African Union was by far older than GES, it started observing Africa Day before the continental body endorsed it.

Rev Agbozo noted that the time has come for Africa to be called the people of the Lord, and the light of the Lord would shine from Africa to the Middle East.

He said Africa would be used by God as a vehicle for transforming the Middle East, since Europe has failed to achieve that.

Rev Agbozo said Africa, the Arab World and Israel would be one people and this is the perfect plan of God for humanity.

He said within the next 10 to 15 years, Africa would be able to take its rightful place in line with the vision of God for the continent, and that it is only God Himself who could do it.

Rev Agbozo said God would bring to an end the era of cruel masters and perversion spirits in Africa within the new Africa.

He said Ghana is a shining star for the rest of Africa to emulate and no element of coup d’états would ever succeed in Ghana again because God would never permit.

“No power can take over this nation, there is hope for Ghana and our hope is the hope of Africa.”

Rev Agbozo advised politicians to desist from visiting fetishes, occult groups, among other ungodly places in the name of achieving political power, because at the end of the day they would be incurring God’s wrath upon themselves and the nation as a whole.

He said God is the governor of the nation and urged Christians to continue praying for the good of Ghana.

He said any judge who takes bribe can never deliver justice to the people.

Mrs Justice Barbara Ward-Acquah, Justice of the High Court, Land Division who chaired the function admonished Ghanaians to uphold integrity and honesty at all times.
