Galaxy S III wins ‘Smartphone of The Year’ Award

SamsungSamsung Galaxy S III was adjudged as the “Smartphone of the Year” at the third Ghana Telecom Awards held at the Movenpick, Accra recently.

A statement from Samsung Ghana on Wednesday quoted Chief Retail Officer of Samsung, Michael Bosompem: “We feel really humbled and we like to dedicate the award to our customers who have believed in us over the period. We would also like to dedicate the award to our distributors in Ghana, i2 and also our dealers who have contributed immensely to building the brand.

“At Samsung we go beyond our means to make things happen, we actually didn’t expect to win this award. I guess it is recognition of our hard work,” he said.

According to Mr. Bosompem, the Galaxy S III sold over 40,000 pieces which can be valued in excess of US$200million in Ghana alone.

The statement said Samsung had given everybody the opportunity to own the Galaxy S III successor, the Galaxy S IV, through a partnership with Standard Chartered Bank where one can pay for the device in monthly instalment between periods of 6 to 12 months.

The Galaxy SIV comes with ADH insurance, allowing customers to have two repairs for free within the 24-month ADH warranty. The only requirement for the ADH is for customer to register on the E-Warranty platform by sending REG*IMEI Number# to 1453.

The brand Ambassador for Samsung, Sarkodie also entertained the audience to some great music at the very entertaining night.
