Ghanaians cautioned against fake prophets

CrowdA clergyman has cautioned Ghanaians to beware of false prophets and pastors, who demand possessions from their followers before addressing their challenges.

Apostle Ebenezer N. Abebrese, President of the Apostolic Church, Ghana, said though some men of God could do wonders, others were exploiting people.

He asked Christians to pray ceaselessly and seek the direction of God and the Holy Spirit in time of tribulations.

Apostle Abebrese, who inaugurated Nyanyano-Kasoa Sub area branch of the Church, at Akweiley near Kasoa, lamented that some men of God  cheated  their follower to the extent that they requested building plans from them before attending to their spiritual and physical needs.

Apostle Abebrese said some prophets preached falsehood as if it was the truth, and warned that such men of God could face the wrath of God.

He urged Pastor Patrick Onipeni Ahudey, head of the Sub area branch of the Church, to work to spread the gospel, reminding him that his jurisdiction was vast, which comprises Nyanyano-Kasoa, Galilea, Shiloh, Awutu Breku, Jeikrodua and Bethel.
