BECE progressing smoothly in Ashanti Region

PupilsThe conduct of 2013 Basic Schools Certificate Examination (BECE), has so far been smooth, with no reports of cheating and other forms of malpractices from any part of the Ashanti Region.

Miss Yulka Tehoda, the Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service (GES), said all is going well.

The candidates and invigilators have carried themselves in a more dignified manner adding that she has every reason to believe that this would be sustained for the entire duration of the examination.

Officers of the GES have stepped up their monitoring activities at the various examination centres to ensure that its integrity is upheld.

In all, 78,348 candidates are writing the BECE in the region and they are made up of 41,110 males and 37,238 females.
