Election petition: Chief commends NDC, NPP for exhibiting tolerance
Obrempon Nyanful Krampah XI, Omanhen of Gomoa Ajumako, has commended parties engaged in the current election petition at the Supreme Court for exhibiting tolerance.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Gomoa Ajumako in the Central Region, Obrempon Nyanful Krampah said the tolerance exhibited by National Democratic Congress and New Patriotic Party has demonstrated that Ghana is the beacon of democracy and would continue to be the star of Africa.
The Omanhen urged Ghanaians to remain calm and wait patiently for the Supreme Court ruling on the petition.
Obrempon Nyanful Krampah expressed hope that the peace the nation is enjoying would remain intact after the ruling.
He appealed to the National Peace Council and the religious bodies to intensify the peace campaign as they did in the run-up to the 2012 general election.
“They must not take anything for granted, “he said.
