Ernst & Young names new CEO, adopts EY as brand name
Ernst & Young has named a former US Assistant Secretary of Treasury, Mark Weinberger, as its new global CEO and Chairman.
Mr Weinberger, 51, replaces outgoing Chairman and CEO Jim Turley who has been in that position for the last 12 years, the professional services organization said July 2, 2013.
“It is a privilege to lead this great organization in these dynamic times and I’m looking forward to tackling the challenges ahead,” Weinberger said.
Ernst & Young has meanwhile rebranded.
“From July 1, 2013, we will be called EY. We have also redesigned our logo, reflecting our new brand name clearly in the design,” Weinberger stated.
The company has also adopted ‘Building a better working world’ as its purpose.
