President Mahama appoints MMDCEs for Volta Region

President John Dramani Mahama has nominated seven people for Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives’ (MMDCEs) positions in the Volta Region.

A statement from Media Office of Flag Staff House Communications Bureau and copied to the Ghana News Agency said on Wednesday.

The appointees includes: Michael K. Adzho for Agotime Ziope; Sylvester Tonyeava for Keta Municipal; Moses K. Ponye for Krachi West and Daniel Dagba for Akatsi South.

The rest are: Delphia Fafa Agbai for North Tongu; Emmanuel Sky Ganaku for Adaklu and Stephen Komla Timika for North Dayi.

The statement said the nominations were in accordance with Section 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Government Act 1993, Act 462.
