Judgment Debt Commission resumes sitting
The Commission of Inquiry established by President John Dramani Mahama to inquire into Judgment Debts Payments and other related matters will resume public sittings from Monday July 15, to Wednesday July 17.
A statement signed by Mr. George William Dove, Public Relations Officer of the Commission, copied to the Ghana News Agency on Friday, said the representatives of the Attorney General Department, the Solicitor General, and the Inspector General of Police have been invited to assist the Commission in its work.
Others are; the Chief Director of Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning; and the Chief Director, Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The statement said the representatives are at liberty to appear with their lawyers and reminded the public that sittings would be held at 1000 hours each day.
“Members of the public who wish to testify or volunteer information are first to report at the Commission’s office to give their statements. The Commission will then schedule a date for them to give evidence,” it stated.
“All those who intend to testify or volunteer information to the Commission but were unable to be present in person, could submit memoranda to the Commission; adding that all ‘’such memoranda will be treated confidentially,” it noted.
