The West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo) says gas transportation from Nigeria to Ghana and neighbouring countries has resumed.
The operator of the West African Gas Pipeline (WAGP) closed down the gas pipe last year August after the line was damaged by a ship on Togolese waters.
In a statement July 18, 2013, WAPCo said the WAGP has now been repaired, recommissioned and back in operation.
“…WAPCo resumed gas transportation on July 12, 2013,” it said.
WAPCo transports natural gas from Nigeria to Ghana, Togo and Benin.
