Michael Anaba seals 3-year deal with Spanish side, Elche CF
Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Anaba has sealed a three-year deal with Spanish La Liga outfit, Elche CF for a fee in the region of 200,000 Euros.
Anaba, who turns 20 on December 5, is set to agree personal terms with the Valencia-based club with Kotoko already accepting the bid.
A trusted source told GNA Sports that the midfielder caught the attention of the Spanish side during the recent FIFA U-20 World Cup where he churned out modest outputs in the buildup to the Black Satellites bronze feat.
It is however unlikely the former Windy Professionals player will join the senior team having played a no part in coach Francisco Segura’s preseason training.
He is expected to spend some time with the junior team for observation and onward consideration into the Team A.
Anaba becomes the latest Kotoko player to join the exodus after captain Kofi Nti Boakye, joined Libyan side, Al Ahli.
He joins Mubarak Wakaso as the Ghanaians in the Spanish top flight.
The midfielder joined Asante Kotoko two seasons ago from Division One side, Windy Professionals.
