Ghanaians urged to unite and forge ahead

Mr Anthony Gyampo, Eastern Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has appealed to Ghanaians to put the Supreme Court verdict behind them and come together to move the country forward.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview on Friday, Mr Gyampo said: “The verdict was a victory for all Ghanaians.”

He, therefore, congratulated members of the NPP for their boldness to pursue the case in court and appealed to its supporters to contribute their quota to ensure the development of the country.

Mr Gyampo advised Ghanaians, especially members of the NDC, not to irritate anybody in their celebration, since “it is Ghana that won and not the party”.

He called for a review of the electoral process in Ghana and a thorough education of presiding officers.
