2014 World Cup: Tony Baffoe named Match Commissioner for Nigeria-Malawi game
Ex-Black Stars defender Anthony Baffoe has been named Match Commissioner for the 2014 World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Malawi.
The Group F clash will take place on Saturday, September 7 in Calabar.
Information gathered by GNA Sports indicates that the 48-year old will lead the team of officials for the crucial encounter. The outcome of the match will determine the group’s representative for the final round of the qualifying series.
Baffoe is expected to leave Accra on Thursday for coastal southeastern Nigeria city of Calabar to prepare for the game.
The ex-national defender, a member of Football Committee of FIFA also doubles as General Secretary of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG).
