Nkoranza GPRTU Chairman dead

The death is reported of Mr Samson Yaw Kudom, Chairman of the Nkoranza District Branch of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra on Saturday, September 7.

The late Kudom, 61, aka SY, was a Founding Member of the Union at Nkoranza and elected Chairman in 1998 and re-elected in 2012.

Mr Kwaku Duah, Vice Chairman of the Branch, who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said final funeral rites would be announced after the one-week celebration on Saturday, September 14.

The late Kudom, also a farmer, was one-time Brong-Ahafo Regional Best Farmer and a leading maize farmer in Nkoranza. He also invested in timber plantations, livestock, fish pond, cashew and mangoes.
