Kassena fails endorse President’s nominee

Kassena Nankana West District has, for the third time, failed to endorse the President nominee for the position of District Chief Executive.

The Assembly had earlier failed to endorse the first nominee, Mr Thomas Dalu, twice that led the President to nominate Mr George Nonterah.

He polled 32 votes representing 51.6 per cent instead of the 67 per cent votes needed for him to secure the position.

Per the standing orders of the Assembly, there will be a second round of voting at a later day.
