Anglican University to open Nkoranza campus
The Nkoranza Campus of Anglican University College of Technology (AUCT) is expected to be inaugurated on Friday, October 25, 2013.
It is affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and offers programmes in Soil and Water Engineering, Agricultural Engineering and Mechanization and General Agriculture.
Professor Kwasi Nsiah-Gyabaah, Vice President of AUCT, who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency, said the university was also in partnership with the University of Education, Winneba, and the Kintampo College of Health to undertake community medicine and health programmes.
He explained that its focus on agriculture was of prime importance because it would promote agricultural activities in the area being the country’s food basket.
Prof. Nsiah-Gyabaah said admission forms were on sale and the university had employed 23 lecturers while lecture halls and other facilities were ready for academic work to begin.
