ECA to host 2013 Global Geospatial Conference
The 2013 Global Geospatial Conference will be hosted by the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), the body has announced.
The event, which will see participants deliberating on the importance of geospatial science and technology, is slated for November 4-8, 2013 in Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
The theme of the conference is “Spatial Enablement in Support of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction”.
The programme is expected to feature keynote speeches by leading scholars, technical sessions with reports of the latest research outcomes as well as discussion sessions on topics such as capacity building, SDI, space policy, programmes and projects.
Officials say there will be exhibitions of the latest products and services in geospatial science and technology.
