ACP Awuni grabs Master of Governance and Leadership
Mr Angwubutoge Awuni, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) on Saturday graduated with a Master of Governance and Leadership Degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
An elated ACP Awuni told the Ghana News Agency that it was out of the desire to perfect himself in his job and leadership that led him to pursue the programme at GIMPA.
“I believe that this will make me a better person and afford me a better opportunity to serve mother Ghana well,” he stated.
Mr Awuni, who is also the Director-General of the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit of the Ghana Police Service said, he started the programme two years ago while he was the Northern Regional Police Commander.
He said it was very challenging for him, since he had to be shuttling between Tamale and Accra to attend classes; adding that his labour in the academia had finally paid off.
He was full of praise for Nanabanyin Pratt, an Academic Board Member of the Institute, for motivating him to pursue the programme to its logical conclusion.
ACP Awuni expressed his gratitude to his lovely wife, Mrs Doris Awuni, for the support, patience and encouragementsh, which enabled him come this far.
To his colleagues he said: “Be determined, work harder, persevere, and you will surely attain your goals in life”.
