Kwahu South approves DCE nominee
The Kwahu South District Assembly on Monday confirmed Mr Joseph Omari as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area.
At an emergency meeting held at Mpraeso, all the 30 out of 33 assembly members present voted for him.
Ms Mavis Ama Frimpong Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, advised the new DCE to be humble and submissive and co-operate with the assembly members and the assembly staff to enhance development in the district.
She appealed to the DCE to involve traditional authorities in the development of the district.
Mr Kwame Ofosu Kissi, Presiding Member of the assembly, congratulated the DCE and promised to co-operate with him to develop the district.
He commended the assembly members for the matured manner they went about the elections.
Mr Kissi assured the DCE that he would work hand in hand with him to ensure that the area got its fair share of the national cake.
Mr Omari thanked the assembly members for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of the area and said he would co-operate with all stakeholders to develop the district.
He assured that he would operate an open door policy to involve everybody irrespective of where the person was coming from.
Mr Omari who failed to get the nod from the assembly members in his first attempt, less than a week ago urged the assembly members to forgive him if he had wronged any of them and that he had also forgiven all those who had wronged him.
