Entrepreneurs group to start Ghana made product competition
Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG), organisers of Ghana Made Awards is to institute Ghana Made Products of the month competition from January 2015.
The event would be a prelude to the 3rd edition of Ghana Made Awards 2015, scheduled for October 2015.
The Ghana Made Products of the month competition, which would be conducted monthly, would be an opportunity for indigenous and multinational manufacturing industries in Ghana, to have their products recognised on a monthly, prominent and far-reaching scale, which would provide the ultimate platform for the promotion of Ghana Made products.
Mr Reuben Gyang-Akoto, Event Coordinator of EFG, who made this known in a statement issued in Accra on Thursday and copied to Ghana News Agency, said the competition is all about promoting and exposing unknown, new, improved and innovative locally made products to consumers.
This, the statement said would create awareness, loyalty, recognition and prestige for Ghana made products in an effort to promote the goods and strengthen the economy.
The selected products would also leverage their achievement by participating in the Ghana Made Awards 2015 to create opportunities for product marketing, advertising, promotion, publicity and product awareness within their industries.
Entries would be assessed utilising key evaluation criteria such as Product Leadership, Innovation, Market Performance, Benefits to the consumer and Value.
Submitting a product would entail demonstrating extensive product market leadership to benchmark against manufacturers across all industries.
The competition would utilise a rigorous and dynamic framework to ensure that the assessment process is objective, free of bias or influenced.
The competition would guide consumers to the best locally made products on the market and reward manufacturers for quality and innovation.
