Ghana captain,  Asamoah Gyan has said the Black Stars do not expect an easy ride when they face South  Africa  in a crucial Group C in Mongomo on Tuesday.

Gyan who grabbed the headlines with a late classic goal in Ghana’s lone victory over Algeria on Friday, following a bout of malaria that ruled him out of the group opener against Senegal said the Black Stars are aware of the challenge they face in the Bafana Bafana.

The striker who admit to having some “physical challenges” said that,

“South Africa have shown they are a very good side right from the qualifiers.  We do not expect an easy match against them.”

The Black Stars are on three points, two richer than South Africa and require a win of any shape to qualify out of the group alongside the winner of Senegal and Algeria tie.

South Africa could also qualify at the expense of Ghana with a win and hope that Algeria defeat Senegal.

On the team, Gyan, Africa’s top scorer at the World Cup said “It was a team effort against Algeria, everybody is working for everybody, and we will count on this again against South Africa.”

The striker is expected to be deployed upfront as Ghana attempt to keep her dream of a fifth Nations Cup glory that spans over three decades on course.
