Afreximbank opens Abidjan office
The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has opened its Ivory Coast office in Abidjan, a press release from the Bank issued Thursday May 28, 2015 and copied to ghanabusinessnews.com has said.
According to the release, Afreximbank and the Ivorian government signed two foundation agreements for the establishment of the branch on September 22, 2014.
The opening ceremony was performed by Ivorian Prime Minister, Daniel Kablan Duncan, May 28, 2015.
The new branch is to serve Francophone West Africa and East Africa, the release said.
Afreximbank’s two other branch offices are located in Abuja and Harare, a fourth one, to be located in Nairobi, is expected to open shortly, the release added.
