Bad publicity is better than no publicity – NPP Council of Elders
The enactment of Mortal Kombat at the headquarters of the NPP last week has caused anxiety among NPP sympathisers and excitement about NDC loyalists.
The NPP Council of Elders has, however, dismissed the concerns of party faithfuls, arguing that ‘bad publicity is better than no publicity at all.’
The leaders of the NPP stressed that the dismissal of party chairman, Paul Afoko, has done more to put NPP on the news headline than the wooing campaign that its flagbearer, Nana Akufo Addo, has been undertaking in the past weeks.
The NPP elders vowed to take up as much media space as the hottest topics in the news, including Dumsor, judicial corruption, the Karpower barges, and even Stan Dogbe.
‘It’s all part of our agenda to win election 2016. The more people hear of us in the news, the better our chances of winning the elections. It doesn’t matter at this point whether it’s good news or bad news. By election time next year, Ghanaians won’t remember the exact reason why we were in the news. Mahama spoke a great truth when he said that Ghanaians have short memories.’
Information reaching us indicates that in order to take up even more media space, Dr Arthur Kennedy is expected to write an open letter later this week in which he blames the flagbearer for all the troubles in the party.
