NDC will win 2016 election massively to prevent opponents from going to court – Mahama
President John Mahama says, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will win the 2016 elections massively to prevent its opponents from going to court.
Addressing NDC supporters in Wa in the Upper West Region, President Mahama thanked them for the massive turnout and assured them that come 2016, the NDC would win the elections one-touch.
He said the NDC won the 2012 polls by 50.7 per cent, representing about 300,000 votes, yet opponents of the NDC still went to court; adding that the NDC 2016 win would be massive to discourage or make it difficult for them to go to court again.
“It is going to be a one-touch victory come 2016”, President Mahama emphasised.
President John Dramani Mahama on Sunday arrived in Wa for a two day visit and was met by a milling crowd of the supporters at Bamahu.
The supporters clad in NDC Paraphernalia trooped to Bamahu on motorbikes and in buses amidst drumming and dancing and waited several hours for the President to arrive from Bole at about 18:30 hours.
As part of the President’s visit, he would address the Upper Regional House of Chiefs at a meeting in Wa and later interact with NDC executives and supporters at the Wa Secondary/Technical School Conference Hall.
President Mahama would also pay courtesy calls on some opinion leaders in Wa.
