MP stabbed to death at his home
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah has been stabbed to death at his home in Accra, Joy FM reports.
According to the report, it is not clear who was responsible for the stabbing to death of the MP at his Shiashie residence in Accra Tuesday dawn February 9, 2016.
The report cited the Greater Accra Region Police Commander, COP George Dampare as confirming the incident, adding that he said the police have begun investigations into the matter.
Mr. Danquah, who was born on July 2, 1965 and hailed from Old Tafo in the Eastern Region was a Chartered Accountant by profession. His last employment before going to Parliament was as Executive Director of Automotive Springs (Ghana) Limited in Accra.
He was first elected to Parliament in the 2004 elections.
He was the grandson of the Ghanaian scholar and politician, the Late J.B Danquah.
He was MP for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), and he is survived by a wife and two children.
Police should do quick investigation about the death of the late Mr J.B Danquah and detain them for life. Oh my God have mercy on Ghana politics.
So what is happening to Ghanains. Now our security is not assured and government needs to put in proper measures to protect us. Better Ghana has now turns to be bitter Ghana. Why?
The security sleep more than the to take care of, we need to arise n built our security system now than pretending as if nothing is happening, who knows next, let love each other than politics
