Vice President receives Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago
The Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr Keith Christopher Rowley, has arrived in Accra for a four-day state visit.
He was received by Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur at the VVIP lounge of the Kotoka International Airport.
Dr Keith Rowley was accompanied by government officials and chairmen of the Trinidad Oil and Gas companies.
He is also expected to hold talks with President John Dramani Mahama at the Flagstaff House after which the two leaders would hold a joint news conference.
Besides, there would be a state dinner in honour of Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley and his delegation.
Speaking to journalists later after his arrival, Dr Keith Rowley said the time had come for Ghana and Trinidad and Tobago to co-operate for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
He said Trinidad and Tobago had gained expertise in areas such as energy and education and that Ghana, requiring to expand into those areas, must co-operate for such purposes.
“When the two nations co-operate they can handle these development initiatives effectively,” he said.
