NPP government will restore Nursing and Teacher trainee allowances – Bawumia
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the running mate of New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Flagbearer, Nana Akuffo Addo, says nursing and teacher trainee allowances would be restored if the party comes to power.
“In our first budget, we will restore the allowances. It is not a big deal.We need a lot of nurses and teachers to fill vacancies to take care of our sick and teach our children.”
Speaking to jubilant party faithful in Tema, Dr Bawumia said a Nana Akuffo Addo government would proritize health and education because”we know what they mean to us.”
According to him, “The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is borrowing from everywhere, taxing everything and cutting all benefits. That is why they say they cannot pay the allowances.”
He said: “Even when Ghana (NPP under President Kufuor) was in the Highly Indebted Poor Countries’ initiative (HIPC), we were paying nursing and teacher trainee allowances. Today, we are an oil producing economy and Mahama government cannot pay allowances.”
He said the interest payments government makes on its debt annually can pay Nursing and teaching trainee allowances
for 40 years.
“It is a matter of policy and priority. We see health and education as very crucial sectors”,he said..

what Dr. Bawumia has said is true. The NDC government is mismanaging the economy. From the year Ghana gain indepent, all the causes of military intervention in politics are all done by that mahama of the NDC government.
We need to change because the exchange rate, cost of living are all hitting the roof.
NPP is the political party that can save Ghana from this medicre.

The intelligent man has spoken, Ghanaians, teacher training college personnells, nursing training personnells, are you sitting down for this to go wasted, no u can do it, students we can do it, compare the reign of EX President John Agyekum Kuffour of the NPP government just some few years ago to the reign of the NDC government, my dear student, am also a student, we are suffering, let’s put an end to this misery we find ourselves in, the NDC government are enjoying with their children who are students like us, some being sent outside the county to school there, therefore not going through the misery we find ourselves in under the NDC government, let’s offer the NPP government the opportunity to lead the political administration of our country. Nana Addo is capable, Bawumia is capable of restoring all the economic hardship, all that we have lost and still losing, the NPP government is capable.
