LaNMMA fines shop owners for avoiding sanitation day

SanitationThe La-Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly (LaNMMA), has fined 19 shop owners GH¢ 100 each for opening their businesses and failing to participate in the National Sanitation Day cleanup exercise in the area.

The exercise organised by LaNMMA on Saturday, June 11, was attended by residents in their numbers including the Friends of Amadu Sorogho Group.

They cleaned Riss Junction, Atomic Junction, Zongo Junction, Social Welfare and the Madina Central Market.

Mr Joseph Quacoe, the LaNMMA Sanitation and Health Officer expressed satisfaction with the turn out and asked the traders to participate in the next exercise.
