We lost the chance to go top of the league – Hearts of Oak coach
Accra Hearts of Oak head coach, Sergio Traguil is not happy with his side’s performance against Aduana stars in the week 18 encounter played at the Ohene Djan sports stadium, Accra.
The phobians failed to top the 2015/2016 league table after their arch rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko had played out a one all draw game at the Tema stadium with Inter Allies.
Coach Traguil lamented over the many glorious chances his boys squandered in front of their few supporters at the Ohene Djan sports stadium over the weekend.
“I am not happy, my team wasted so many chances throughout the game, even though we have improved upon our performances. Today we lost the opportunity to climb to the top of the league.”
“Our first half performance was very poor but the second half was better, we can’t waste such chances in our games, and today we lost the opportunity to go top.” he added.
Hearts of oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko both have 31 points from 18 games, with Hearts occupying the 3rd position, with Kotoko ahead on a superior goal aggregate.
Hearts of Oak will play away to Sekondi Hasaacas in the week 19 encounter, whilst Kotoko play host to Bechem United at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi.
Wa All Stars are currently leading the ongoing Ghana premier league with 32 points from 18 games and will travel to play West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) in a bid to extend their lead at the top.
