President Mahama nominates two for Chief Executives

The President, John Dramani Mahama, has nominated Agnes Kusi and Samuel Oppong as Municipal and District Chief Executives for Sunyani West District Assembly and Agona West District Assembly respectively.

A release signed by Alhaji Collins Dauda, the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said the nomination was done in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and section 20 (1) of the Local Government Act, Act 462.

The statement requested all Regional Ministers to facilitate the process of this nomination and the Electoral Commission to conduct their confirmation.
