Kwaebibirem Rural Bank shows strong performance
The Kwaebibirem Rural Bank is showing strong performance with its total assets hitting GHȼ12,200,843.00, last year, Mr. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkora, the Board Chairman, has announced.
The figure, he said, represented an increase of GHȼ1,897,294.00 over the previous year’s total of GHȼ10,303,549.00.
He was addressing the 30th annual general meeting of the shareholders of the bank in Kade in the Kwaebibirem District.
Mr. Ahenkora informed the bank owners that it made a profit of GHȼ163,694.00, a rise of 89.95 per cent over what was posted in year 2014.
Total deposit also shot up to GHȼ11,285,704.00 from GHȼ9,845,130.00.
He said as part of the drive to grow returns on its operation, it had procured motorbikes and tricycles to be sold to workers and farmers on hire-purchase.
The tricycles, he indicated, could be of tremendous assistance to farmers, since these could be used to cart fresh palm fruits from the farms to the marketing centres.
Mr. Kwaku Ababio, Head of Finance, ARB Apex Bank Limited, hailed the bank for the impressive performance and asked that the board, management and the staff continued to work hard to sustain it on the path of growth.
