Bimbilla curfew extended
The Minister of the Interior has on the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council and by Executive Instrument has renewed the Curfew hours on the Bimbilla Township from 6:00pm to 6:00am effective Friday March 24.
A statement signed by Mr Ambrose Dery, the Minister, and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra. said: “Government continues to urge Chiefs, Traditional Leaders, Opinion Leaders, Youth and the People of the area to exercise restraints in the face of challenges confronting them and not to use non- violent means to channel their energies to ensuring peace in the area.
Meanwhile, there is a total ban on all persons in the Bimbilla Township and surrounding areas from carrying arms, ammunitions or any offensive weapons, it said.
The statement warned: “Any person found with any arms or ammunitions will be arrested and prosecuted.
