Painter found dead in church building
A 23-year- old painter, identified only as Kojo, has been found dead in a church building in what appears to be a suicide.
His lifeless body was found dangling on a rope at the balcony of the Mpraeso Presbyterian Church.
A police source that asked not to be identified because he was not authorized to speak to journalists said bruises were found on the right elbow and other parts of the body.
He said one of his colleague painters, Stephen Amoah, who claimed to have locked up the place before retiring to bed on the night of the incident, was assisting the police in their investigations.
Kojo together Amoah and another man, whose name was not given, had been engaged by the elders of the church to give the building a new coat of paint.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased had been deposited at the Kwahu Government Hospital morgue for autopsy.
