Chief appeals to Accra traditional rulers to be law-abiding
Nii Asafoatse Quaye Kukurudu IV of Adjen-Kotoku Kwarteman in the Ga West Municipality has appealed to traditional rulers in the Greater Accra Region to be law-abiding.
He said the chiefs and the elders of the region must be respectful to one another and should put an end to chieftaincy and land litigations and multiple sale of lands, which create chaos and deprived the people of development.
Nii Quaye Kukurudu made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Adjen-Kotoku Kwarteman after a meeting with the youth to plan developmental projects for the community.
He called on the chiefs to unite and come under one umbrella to fight for the common good of the region and avoid acts which denigrate the chieftaincy of the people of Accra by police arrests and court cases.
He urged the chiefs and people of the region to use the forthcoming Homowo Festival to initiate projects for the improvement of the living conditions of their towns such as; the construction of school structures, markets, and health centres, among others.
He also entreated the chiefs, especially those in the Ga West Municipality to make lands available to the Assembly to undertake developmental projects while admonishing them to be courteous and respectful to their people.
Nii Quaye Kukurudu advised the youth to desist from social vices like smoking of tobacco, marijuana and taking of tramadol and alcohol, which would ruin their lives because they were the nation’s future.
