Essien fan flies from Ghana to go clubbing with him
The Mirror newspaper published in the UK has reported that a fan of Michael Essien, the 26-year-old Chelsea playmaker and Ghana midfielder flew all the way from Ghana to the UK just to go clubbing with the football star.
According to the newspaper a spy who saw the pair in London’s Paper club said, “the guy said he’d come from Africa and was Essien’s biggest fan.”
The newspaper did not give the name of the said fan.
Michael Essien who has been nursing an injury he sustained when playing for Ghana in September 2008 has been ruled out of the Chelsea first team until March 2009, when he is expected to make a full recovery after a knee surgery.
