Only 30 staff reported for work on January 2 at Nsawam Municipal
Only 30 out of the 150 staff of the Nsawam/Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly reported for work on January 2.
The doors to some of the departments of the Assembly were closed when the Ghana News Agency visited the Assembly after the afternoon break.
The staff present on the first working day of the year were made up of ten senior officers and 20 junior officers.
Speaking to the GNA, Mr Kofi Boateng Acheampong, the Municipal Coordinating Director, said he was aware that some of the staff of the Assembly were on leave but could not give any figure.
He said he had not given any staff the permission to absent themselves on the first working day of the year.
