Ghanaian man found dead in US
An unidentified man, believed to be a Ghanaian has been found dead beside a river Monday January 5, 2009.
The man whose name is being withheld, until his family could be contacted was found dead near the Olentangy River in Ohio, US.
According to a report in the Columbus Dispatch, Grandview Heights Police Chief Rollin Kiser said they have trouble reaching the man’s family.
The body of the man, who is said to have been a student of Ohio State University was found by a jogger beneath a railroad bridge in the south-east corner of Grandview Heights, police sources have said. The body according to the police was frozen in a tangle of wood and other debris along the riverbank and had been there for “an extended period.”
The cause of death is still being investigated. An autopsy did not reveal a cause of death, Franklin County Coroner Jan Gorniak was quoted as saying.
